In 1912, this now rusty and abandoned sugar mill replaced the original Koloa Sugar Mill built in 1935. It shut its production in 1996.
It reminds me of an old European castle. The abandoned machinery, now overgrown with lush vegetation, reminiscent of medieval weaponry, rusty towers and chimneys, broken windows - a refreshing respite from the stores filled with tourists chackas!
